Mounds is a small town in southern Creek County on US-75, south of Glenpool and on the way toward Okmulgee. The town takes its name from two nearby hills, and the land around it is mostly rural: homes on a few acres, small farms, and a lot of steel shops and pole barns.
Out here the insulation problems are less about bonus rooms and more about buildings that sit exposed to wind and weather. Older farmhouses and ranch homes lose heat through every gap, metal shops drip when the weather turns, and barns full of equipment and hay need to stay dry.
Many Mounds properties also run on propane or wood heat, which makes air sealing a quick way to cut fuel costs. We look at the whole property during the free estimate and price each building so you can tackle the biggest problem first.

Insulation Notes for Mounds Properties
- Steel shops and pole barns are the most requested projects around Mounds, and closed-cell foam is the standard fix for condensation.
- Wind exposure on open land makes air sealing and closed-cell foam at rim joists and eaves especially effective.
- Older farmhouses may have balloon framing or mixed additions, so we check how walls connect to the attic before recommending a plan.
- Where propane appliances are inside a space we would seal, we plan for combustion air before closing vents.

What Affects Insulation Costs in Mounds
Most Mounds projects are outbuildings or whole-house air sealing, so price depends on building size, wall height and foam thickness more than anything else. Larger barns that only need condensation control can often use thinner closed-cell foam than a heated shop. We also note any old blanket insulation that needs removing.
